An outstanding opportunity exists for a qualified Regional Branch Operations Manager (RBOM) to work in conjunction with the Area
VP
to ensure a smooth working relationship between our customers and branch operations.
This position is open today and will work with 13 locations in Northeast Ohio within the East Region of Airgas Great Lakes, Inc.
(Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown)Responsibilities Include:
.
Work with all locations to ensure the proper stocking levels for both gas and hard goods are adequate to service our customer requirements and manage physical inventories.
Focus a concerted effort on the reduction of overtime and establish a plan to maintain the efficiencies including efficient truck routing.
Oversee the proper appearance, display, pricing, and marketing of all retail store operations and coordinate marketing plans.
Initiate and manage yearly Open Houses / Customer Appreciation Days working in conjunction with the Radnor Product Manager.
Coordinate our Brand Strategy working with the Radnor Products Manager.
Oversee the management of House accounts to ensure proper communication is established and customer service is maintained at a high level.
Investigate, implement and manage cost savings opportunities focusing on reducing price overrides; discount management and gross margin.
Drive Annual Branch Manager Accountabilities for bonus programs, annual review and gain sharing.
Conduct basic business / comparative summary income statement training including and understanding of what needs to be done to improve branch profitability.
Educate, implement and review the policies and procedures with employees.
Oversee special projects such as facility improvements, branch closing/consolidation and acquisition integration.Requirements & Competencies:

Must have experience in the range of five (5) to seven (7) years in a similar position in industrial retail branch operations.
Candidates with prior experience in the welding/gas/supplies industry will be given priority consideration.
Experience in distribution is a must.
Demonstrated planning skills, proven leadership skills and outstanding personal relationship skills.
The successful candidate takes ownership and creates solutions and enjoys working hands-on in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
Is a role model for expected performance on the job Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills with all levels of organization.
Strong computer skills are required;
