Located in 33 countries, Hewitt employs approximately 24,000 associates.The Calc Engine Systems Analyst (CESA) is responsible for converting client requirements into analysis artifacts and for designing test plans.

The

CESA

delivers clear analysis, test plans, and SOPs which accurately reflect the technical capabilities of the calculation system and address the calculation requirements of the client.

The

CESA

is responsible for coordinating and coaching the Calc Engine Analysts (CEAs) on the configuration and test execution of the Calc Engine system platform for one or more client teams.

This will take the form of a new client implementation or an enhancement of current services.Responsibility AreasWork with Domain Manager and Benefits Service Manager to clarify requirements.Leverage Calc Engine and pension expertise to create detailed Calc Engine analysis based on plan requirements, data requirements, and technical direction provided by Calc Engine Lead Systems Analyst (CELSA).

Responsible for incorporating recommended updates based on review.Design Test Plans (unit, regression) for calculation testing and incorporate recommended updates to Test Plan based on review.Program complex provisions of

CE

system.Deliver analysis and test plan to

CEA

for configuration and testing work.Coach CEAs on configuration and testing work and defects.Review analysis, test plan documentation and updates made by CEA.Evaluate the results of the

CEA

configuration and test execution.Coordinate construction work of aligned CEAs, monitor task completion, and communicate teamschedule and status to the CELSA.Execute on assigned deployment activities.Support production environment (calculation defects and trends) and execute defect management including cleanup procedures for Operations; create and maintain calculation-based SOPs for handoff to Operations.Ensure smooth transition to production.Complete all Calc Engine technical documentation updates, production simulations and production verifications on all new Calc Engine work within iteration until it is determined to be stable.Support

CELSA

in meetings to turn over stable Calc Engine projects to operations for ongoing support.QualificationsFormal Education & CertificationBachelors degree (with preferred concentrations in Math, Actuarial Science, Finance, ComputerScience, Economics, MIS) or equivalent work experience.3-5 years relevant work experience required (1-2 years in Calc Engine Analyst Role)Knowledge & Experience:

, development, and implementation of software testing solutions.Strong knowledge of system testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.Experience with testing methodologies and tools.Substantial exposure to project-based work structures.Ability to interpret and understand conditional statements (i.e., If/Then/Else) and debug complexcalculations in Excel spreadsheets.Ability to write and debug complex pension system calculations, program system provisions, and solve issues with the Calc Engine system.Experience with project management tools and methodologies including project tracking and status reporting.Knowledge of basic System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.Ability to troubleshoot system defects and errors.Deep knowledge and use of relational databases and various mainframe tools.Personal Attributes:
