This position is responsible for providing highly responsive and quality service to customers through the use of multiple system applications, administrative processes, and operational tools.

Candidates will possess proven interpersonal, communication and customer service skills to ensure a high quality customer experience.

The incumbent must demonstrate expertise related to one line of business and will have the opportunity to provide customer service on policy administration, benefits, telephonic intake, Family Medical Leave administration, voluntary workplace benefits, or individual products on our traditional or Fast Forward platforms.

Monday through FridayAbility to contribute to team accountabilities in order to meet service level and abandoned rate goalsConsistently make independent business decisions in response to customer inquiriesAbility to provide excellent customer service in both English and SpanishAbility to evaluate and control situations and offer creative solutionsResearch and respond to external policyholder requests with timely and accurate informationAbility to meet the expectations of the quality/productivity standardsKnowledge and understanding of the Unum business functionsOther duties as assignedQualificationsDegree from a four-year college/university preferred.Fluency in both English and SpanishGood verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills required.Adaptive/flexible ability to deal with multiple, concurrent and rapidly changing demands.Professional phone skills required, coupled with ability to provide quality customer service.Ability to multi-task, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment handling a large volume of calls.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to learn and apply multiple processing and benefit systems effectively.Unum offers competitive pay, relocation assistance and excellent benefits.
