Duties will vary depending upon the project, and skill level of the applicant, but may include developing research designs, performing literature reviews, collecting field data, conducting interviews and focus groups, performing statistical analyses, designing and testing software and technical report writing.
Work setting is a government site with both civil service and contractor behavioral scientists working in small teams.
Individual will have a Ph.D.
in a behavioral science field such as psychology or sociology and have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent research in an applied setting.
Ability to extract data from large data sets, and analyze and interpret findings is a must.
Excellent writing skills are essential as work conducted is primarily documented in technical publications.
Good organizational skills, time management, attention to detail and high standards of quality are essential.
Excellent growth potentional.
