more talk about jobs and less talk about statistics

Its good news day for the economy. Apparently, the latest job market news shows an unanticipated decline in jobless claims. In short, jobless claims are down by 52,000 for the Independence Day Holiday weekend. So that is good news, right? Maybe so, but like everything else, you need to read the fine print. If you read the fine print on continuing unemployment claims, then you would know that number is up to 6.88 Million. That is an increase in continuing unemployment claims to the tune of 159,000 claims. Hummh...see what happens when you read the fine print. You generally get more of the real picture or the whole truth. But then again, they say the truth hurts. Even so, its better to get the whole picture then to go out, gung ho, and buy a new house or car based on half truths. Maybe its time for a new economic stimulus package to really shake the numbers up. Money mouth
