green jobs shore up in ohio

The green jobs revolution is shoring up jobs in Ohio, in particular Minster. Minster Machine Co is leading the way in creating green jobs for the area, due in part to its supply of skilled metal workers. The company boasts starting wages at $17.50 per hour which is a well above many green job openings. According to Philip Mattera of Good Jobs First, many green jobs pay just $11 or $12 per hour. This is definitely something to boast about for Ohioans, considering it has been battered by the peaks and valleys of the steel industry - although more valleys than peaks. On the other hand Minster isn't exactly a metro area like say Columbus, Cincinnati or Cleveland. So if you are open to retraining and willing to relocate to a smaller town - than Minster with its green jobs openings could be the move. The cost of living is behind that of Ohio metro areas so the boost in wages means you get to keep, considerably, more of your paycheck . That is the bottom line. Keep more. Think about it. Cool
