You might be immediately inclined to say "no way idiot," but before you do, hear me out why the no jobs situation is actually a good thing. It really isn't tough mental stuff like molecular biology or anatomy, actually it's quite simple. It's business. Yep - just business. In business "less is more" - less demand means less need for workers which ultimately drives wages down, due to a natural increase in the number of people looking for work. Also, less demand has a positive impact on efficiency since employees on the payroll are scared to death for their jobs. That translates into better overall efficiency.

Still in denial? No worries - you're not alone. It still doesn't change the fact that companies (especially large corporation) benefit from slower demand. Cheaper labor, higher profit margins, increased output and performance are "in the bag." So why hire a bunch of people and mess all that up? After all, who goes to school when they have a good job? Who reads the newspapers when they have money in their wallets and purses? Who cares about politics when the check is coming in on time? Say what you will but there are plenty of reasons why the no jobs situation is a good thing for business. Wake up and smell the coffee. Sealed
