export jobs to the rescue

What's this? a quasi plan to turn around the huge trade deficit America has with other countries...China in particular. So what kind of quasi plan will somehow significantly increase the number of export jobs such as coming to the rescue of a slow moving economy. That's just it...there is no such plan. Just talk and chatter. No plan. In order to increase export jobs in a significant way, the first barrier to cross is the limited and sometimes lack of marketability with respect to American products in other countries. Here again, China makes billions upon billions exporting products to the USA. Conversely, China is in no hurry to import products from the USA and even imposes still penalties on local merchants for doing so. That of course is not to mention the draconian sentence i.e. the guillotine for non compliant merchants in China. In short, fix the marketability problem with American products, then and only then will finding export jobs across the country be as simple as finding a deeply discounted foreclosed home in the Atlanta area. At that point, the export jobs market would very likely be the economic rescue the USA desperately needs. Unfortunately, USA needs an economic rescue now.

manufacturing jobs head east to sunny sc

Who doesn't like fun in the sun right? Well maybe it's time to resolve, for the New Year, to head east for sunny South Carolina in search of new job opportunities. Manufacturing is amongst the leading industries for the state and the trend is expected to continue for the New Year. Tourism is, also, big in the Grand Strand area which incidentally is looking up for 2012. Granted, we aren't talking about 100,000 new jobs to the area, but hey every job counts these days. Besides, you only need one job anyway, unless of course you're married, in which case the extra spousal income would really be helpful.

In the Grand Strand area, an above average wage is in the $15 - $20 dollar range. With wages in that range, it's a little hard to purchase a home without the extra spousal income. For those that are married and both can find work in the area, there are some really great real estate deals right about now. The local real estate market is slumped and not looking to make any significant surge during 2012. That's good news for new home buyers. Not so good news for preexisting homeowners. Oh well, that's how it goes sometimes. In any event, for the adventurous job seeker, looking to make a move, manufacturing jobs are heading east to sunny SC. This is in addition to a strong tourism industry already. That translates into job opportunities, priced to sell real estate, and fun in the sun. Sounds like a good time, to me, for investing in that beach bungalow. What else is there...are you on your way yet? Cool

screw the environment create jobs

Sacrificing the environment to create jobs is pretty much the size of it. Big Oil, is not too happy about the "on again" "off again" Keystone pipeline deal. With a $7 Billion dollar investment were talking about sustaining and creating a lot of jobs. With all of Obama's talk about creating jobs and the Jobs Act, you would think getting this deal done would be a no brainer right? Wrong. It's never that simple when it comes to politics. Some believe that Big Oil has little if any credibility given recent debacles like the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Come to think about, they just might have a point.

How can you get mad at environmentalists when Big Oil comes to town and rewrites law and create their own rules as they go? After all, who really wants another Exxon Valdes disaster, not that the BP blunder in the Gulf was anything minor. The point is that Big Oil comes to town holding jobs over the heads of the towns that need them most. What's wrong with that? On its face nothing, but when you factor in the midnight sign-offs which include extremely favorable conditions for Big Oil, that's something different. Now let's factor in the loose or non-existent regulations during drilling and exploration, now you have a recipe for a disaster in the making. These companies will always cut corners for cheap labor, supplies, tools and technology at the expense of the environment. Creating jobs is definitely a good thing but then again having a safe clean toxic free environment is a good thing too. Why is finding a happy medium such a hard thing to do? Instead we just want to go off half-cocked and screw the environment to create a few jobs and make record profits. Do better people. Do better. Money mouth

to hell with wireless jobs for wi-fi

Jobs for Wi-Fi and basically said to hell with wireless carriers. So why hasn't Wi-Fi taken off and still a back seat occupant to wireless? Well for one thing, lack of investment. There simply isn't enough money being spent (grand scale) investing in Wi-Fi hotspots such that where ever you go, you're hot. Why? None other than the wireless carriers themselves strong holding the market and running every innovative Wi-Fi solution out of town to limit connectivity options of consumers. Think about it, with all the customer complaints AT&T gets, like who would really pay for AT&T wireless service if Wi-Fi was vast and wide enough to ensure constant coverage? You know the answer. On the other hand, some investments are currently underway with regards to Wi-Fi infrastructure. Moreover, such investments are creating thousands of new jobs.

So why didn't Steve Jobs abandon the ditch the wireless guys idea? Well who said he abandoned the idea? Ever heard of the IPad? Duh, one of the best-selling if not the best-selling models of the IPad 2 is the Wi-Fi only model. Now granted the IPad can't make phone calls, but then who needs phone calls when you can go Facetime using a Wi-Fi connection? After all a picture is worth a thousand words on the phone. So, with the IPad 2 you get Facetime, apps and web surfing with no wireless bill or contract. Wireless contracts stink anyway; they pretty much insure that customer service is all but non-existent. Why should wireless carries give a rats a** about service once you're locked in right. So wireless contracts are bad for consumers and bad for jobs. Perhaps, Steve Jobs in his immortal brilliance left some breadcrumbs on a path for innovators to follow. Hint hint. Invest more in national Wi-Fi which will create busloads of jobs and put serious business pressure on righteous wireless carriers that are blocking innovation and anytime, anywhere social networking. Bottom line -- to hell with wireless carriers after all even Steve Jobs was for the expansion of Wi-Fi and Apple benefited greatly from his visions.Cool
