land of opportunity hiring now

If you've been wondering where the jobs are, fret not, employers are still hiring. The question is how good is your English? Whhhhattt? That's right, how good is your English...if it really good, you can likely land a job in China as a teacher. In case you didn't know, China has been dubbed as the new land of opportunity. That's what the word on the street is, MSN street that is. So what would make someone fly 14 hours and 7000 miles for a teachers job? Well how about being a fresh college grad stuck with student loans and no job. That seems to be all it takes for some fresh college graduates to head east for work. With that kind of move you would think the salaries are mind boggling right...not so much. On average for an English Teacher's job in China you're looking around $2k US dollars. Yea, i know what you're thinking...its going to take a months salary just to pay for the plane ticket to China right? Well anyway, a $2k monthly salary beats siting around waiting on a hope ticket that the US economy is going to rebound soon - not on paper but on "got a job street" where it counts. Still on the fence with the $2k salary? Perhaps you should keep in mind the cost of living in China is incredibly low compared to the US. When its all said and done that $2k teachers salary in China will go a whole lot further than it would in the states. Think about it, you can't hardly get a run down apartment in NYC for less than $1500 a month...and that's in the "so so" side of town. So the verdict may still be pending on China being the new land of opportunity but there is no doubt China is hiring and Americans are going. What are you waiting on? You can learn to speak Chinese when you get there. Cool
