Caci is hiring IT professionals

clock October 23, 2009 17:05 by author Blog Boss -- sms job text messages | tweet job search

If you are an Information Technology professional and looking to embark upon new opportunities, it just might be your time. Can you stand a little bit of the chilly weather? If so, you might want to check out Caci jobs. Since many of Caci's jobs are in the DC, Virginia, Maryland tri-state area, you will need to brace for the weather unless of course you already live in tri-state area. The jest of Caci is that this company is into National Defense Contracts with the Feds. As you know, the Feds have been pumping a lot of cash into the economy via the Federal Stimulus Program. In addition to the Federal Stimulus Program, of course the defense budget holds steady given the present middle east war situation. So what this means for you as an IT professional is that Caci has lots of work to do and needs IT pros to help get the work done. Example jobs include - Acquisition Analyst, ITIL Consultant, Program Analyst and Software Engineer, to name but a few. As a caveat, quite a few of the Caci's jobs either require a security clearance or polygraph testing - or both. So, if you accidentally took home a few pens from work with your current employer you might want to return them before you get that question on the polygraph test. Too funny...the questions could be a little more unnerving, so clean out the skeletons in the closet before applying to one of the many Caci jobs. Let go - keep it moving!

are work from home opportunities real?

clock October 21, 2009 19:36 by author Blog Boss -- sms job text messages | tweet job search

So you're out of work and exploring your options huh. While it is good to keep your options open and be flexible in your job search, you also should be a little realistic. This is especially true when it comes to the barrage of work from home sites out there. A few things to keep in mind if you are considering a work from home opportunity. First, remember the old adage, "if it seems to good to be true, it usually is"? Remember that? You should - it could be your saving grace from having you part with your money. If a site is pushing all of these claims about how much money you could make and how much money the author of the page is making, that is perhaps a good point to begin raising eyebrows. That is especially true if the  page author claims you can make all this money doing this job or that job; but, that same site has little to no traffic and cant even pay a search engine to index their content. Come on people - do a little research. Second, if your landing page is nothing more than a squeeze page than that should definitely cause an eyebrow to be raised. If you aren't familiar with a squeeze page, this is simply a page designed to collect information from you by limiting the amount of text on the page and pushing you to fill out a form for more information. Personally, that is just bad business to me, if they are offering you a job or work from home opportunity and you cant info on what its all about without filling out a form for information, than it is probably not worth the time or money you will be asked to pay. Keeping your options open is one thing, but being open to this kind of junk is just being naive. Sure times are tough with the job situation and all but there are real jobs and work from home opportunities out there. Like anything else you just have to exercise a little common sense and good judgement. If you do so, the right job or work from opportunity will surface. Money mouth

Huntsville picks up 240 new jobs

clock August 29, 2009 19:43 by author Blog Boss -- sms job text messages | tweet job search

As you know the auto industry has been having its woes for quite some time now but the good news is that Huntsville picks up 240 new jobs. Even with the cash for clunkers deal, sponsored by the Feds, some auto manufacturers and their front line dealerships have still struggled to make a profit. Toyota, on the other hand is not only making fist fulls of cash but is actually expanding its Huntsville, AL operations which means 240 new jobs for the locals of Huntsville. If you're a displaced auto worker, you might want to pack up and head on over to Huntsville before those 240 jobs are filled. Needless to say, but job openings these days are filled relatively quick.

Now back to Toyota...now get this, the Huntsville plant currently builds what? Bet you didn't guess - V6 and V8 engines. You know - the same engines that the Big Three build but with efficiency gains unheard of in Detroit. Why are Toyota engines so much more efficient? Well that is a conversation in of itself, that would be to lengthy to cover here, but you we can toss a few words around like say - operational efficiency, pride in workmanship and value centric, just to get your mental juices tingling. For now, if you have auto industry experience and are looking for a job, Toyota in Huntsville picks up 240 new jobs! It not like 240 jobs will be around for long so get going. Cool
